About This Project
Brand and event photography for Ngaru Pou Kapa Haka Roopu ~ capturing the heart, energy, and aroha of a kapa haka performance to remember.
This one was close to my heart. My own nieces and nephews are part of this roopu, so being in that room — camera in hand, surrounded by aroha and pride — was something truly special. I’ll admit I was holding back tears of pride more than once while shooting these amazing humans.
There’s nothing quite like capturing the wairua of kapa haka ~ the passion, the strength, the connection to whakapapa and culture. Every frame holds a moment of pride, and it was an absolute privilege to be trusted to document it.
