This one’s personal. KIK Clothing was my baby — a women’s clothing brand I founded in 2015 and ran for nine years across Australia and New Zealand. From that first terrifying $20,000 bulk order to seeing our pieces on the catwalk at the Women’s Expo in Perth and stocked in stores across two countries, I lived every part of building a brand from scratch.
I was the photographer, the web designer, the content creator, the everything. I shot hundreds of campaigns and thousands of product images — styled, lit, and edited every single one. From summer campaign shoots with models on location to flat lays at midnight before a launch, I learned what it takes to create visuals that actually sell.
I also built and managed our e-commerce website, wrote the copy, planned the marketing, and figured out how to make it all work while eventually doing it with babies on my hip.
Closing KIK in 2024 was one of the hardest decisions I’ve made, but it’s also why I can do what I do now — I’ve been on your side of the camera, building a brand from nothing and making every creative decision myself.
